Why I drive

As long as I own this company, I will make every effort to sit in the driver's seat. It is nice to get feedback through emails, and phone calls, but there is no substitute for one-on-one face time with a client. I get to meet many people: Busy executives, visiting college students, performers, producers, mothers, fathers, and grandparents. Each trip is an adventure, and each time I meet a client, I learn more about what they desire when they hire a car service. They do want personalized service.  Otherwise, they would take a shuttle, hire a taxi, or drive themselves. It is my role to ensure that Austin Ultimate Sedans is PERceptive,REceptive and reactive to their needs, so Austin Ultimate Sedans is always their first choice for car service in Austin.

(As you can see from this photo from a few years ago....sometimes they NEED you to wear a pirate hat!!!)

Forever Driving!

I get asked a lot how I got into the chauffeured transportation business.  It’s that I never really left it except to go do other things occasionally.  Here’s a picture of me during my first stint as a people moving driver, in Grafenwoehr Germany in 1975.  Not quite a luxury vehicle – no heater – no air conditioning and definitely no leather heated seats.

John's Beginnings

Yes it DOES rain in Texas in the summertime!

Many of you may know that the August 15th Keith Urban concert at the Austin360 Amphitheater was canceled due to rain. http://www.austin360.com/weblogs/austin-music-source/2013/aug/15/keith-urban-concert-canceled-due-rain/

Michael took 5 ladies to the show at 7:30 pm, but he kept an eye on the sky and noticed lightning in the distance.  His keen superhuman instincts told him this show would be shut down, and he stayed close to the venue.  He could hear announcements on the loudspeakers advising the attendees to move to an evacuation area.

His first passenger found him, the others were stuck under a tent elsewhere.  He drove to their area, armed with three umbrellas, ran to the tent and quickly escorted them back to the SUV.  Other concert goers were herded like cattle through what some described as a cattle gate!  Once again, Michael was quick like a Ninja.

Our chauffeurs do everything within their powers to get you as close to the door as possible.  Sometimes this is a challenge due to venue logistics, but we stay
current with changes, rules, guidelines, etc. to remove the element of surprise.  We attend meetings and forums to share our concerns as new policies are formed. Sometimes we even get sideways with the ruling authorities in our efforts to serve our clients, but we remain committed to contributing to the success of your memorable events!

Thank you for traveling with Austin Ultimate Sedans. We value your business!
